Room for a long list, each row carrying the service, its category, the monthly cost and the annual figure derived from it, how it is billed, when it renews, whether it is still active, and a note. The totals count active rows only, so a cancelled service stays on the list as a record rather than disappearing from it. Fifty is the number that makes the category work worthwhile. A dozen subscriptions can be read as a list; fifty cannot, and at that point the question stops being what each one costs and becomes which headings have quietly grown.

A row per category, each carrying the monthly total, the annual figure, how many services sit under it and what share of the whole it represents. Every figure reads from the Subscriptions sheet and counts active services only, so it moves when a status changes. The share column is the one that reframes things. Software at a third of the total is a different conversation from software at forty a month, and it is the proportion rather than the amount that tends to prompt the question of whether that is where the money should be going.

A row per price change recording what a service used to cost, what it costs now, when it changed and why, with the increase worked out as a percentage. Subscription prices rise quietly and in small steps, and each rise is individually easy to accept. Written down together they read differently - a service that has gone up twice in eighteen months is a pattern rather than an event, and the percentage column is what makes the pattern legible.

Twelve months by category, seeded from the real category totals so the sheet is right the moment it opens - and every month cell stays editable, which is the point. A price rise in June or a service dropped in September is something you type here, and a fully derived grid could not carry it.

What the cancellations are worth: the monthly saving, the annual figure it implies, and the milestones beside them. Anything marked Cancelled on the Subscriptions sheet is counted, so there is no second list to keep in step. There used to be one, and it could disagree with the sheet it sat on.

The charts show spending by category and then the monthly figures against the annualised ones. Both read from the live sheet, so a status changed on the Subscriptions tab moves them without anything else being touched.
