By default your financial data is stored in your browser and never leaves your device. You can choose to manually import/export you financial data to create personal backups, or let FinancialAha manage it in the cloud.

• In-transit Encryption: FinancialAha uses the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol to encrypt data during transmission over the internet, ensuring secure communication.
• At-rest Encryption: Data stored on FinancialAha's servers is securely encrypted using Firebase at rest encryption.
• End-to-end Encryption: Your financial data is encrypted before leaving your device, it is transmitted and store on our secure servers in an encrypted format. Your financial data will only be decrypted once it reaches your personal device again, with a security key that only you posses.
• Secure Sharing and Collaboration: FinancialAha also implements end-to-end encrypted collaboration with your advisors, partner or other collaborators. Only the authorized people you share your financial portfolio with can access your data, keeping you in control.

FinancialAha uses multiple data encryption methods depending on where your data is located.

• In case you choose to store your data only in your browser and/or create manual imports/exports, then you are the only one responsible for your data because it will never be sent over to FinancialAha.
• If you choose to let FinancialAha store your financial data in the cloud, then we implement both standard and advanced encryption methods that include end-to-end encryption.

FinancialAha encrypts your data at-rest, this means that even if our servers are breached and attackers gain access to your financial data, they would only obtain encrypted data. Without the decryption keys, the encrypted data remains unintelligible and inaccessible to unauthorized parties. In case you have end-to-end encryption active, then only you have the decryption key.

When you choose to use end-to-end encryption, only you can read your financial data. We do not have the technical ability to read or give anyone else access to your emails.

If you choose to deactivate end-to-end encryption, your financial data is stored encrypted, and, from a technical standpoint, database administrators possess access to the encryption keys. Nevertheless, our employment agreements impose legal obligations on any staff member granted access to these keys, prohibiting them from decrypting or revealing user data.
