# FinancialAha Original Research & Data

> FinancialAha: financial spreadsheet templates and free calculators for personal financial planning and business finances. One-time purchases, no subscription, no bank connection. Most templates work in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; each template page clearly lists what that template is compatible with. The templates are plain .xlsx files, so they also open in LibreOffice. Your financial data stays in your own spreadsheet - in your Google account, or on your own device with Excel. FinancialAha never sees or stores it.
